My Story

Catalina Rice was born in Rhode Island and moved to Tennessee with her family at three years old. She became interested in theatre after seeing a production of Cinderella at a community theatre. She has followed her passion for theatre to Middle Tennessee State University, where she is about to graduate with a B.S. in Theatre. Along the way, she has performed in such shows as The Hunchback of Norte Dame, Mamma Mia, Seussical the Musical, Into the Woods, Annie, White Christmas, Guys and Dolls, Jr., and many more.  Over the years, she has taken an interest in technical theatre. Most recently, she has been stage managing for Middle Tennessee State University and has fallen in love with the process of shepherding shows from conception thru the closing night. Each show presents new opportunities to learn and grow while contributing to her strengths of organizing, communicating, and coordinating with the production team. Her transition from onstage to backstage began as a light board/spotlight operator and backstage crew in many community theatre productions. This interest backstage has led her to work as a scenic floor artist for Clue the Musical, Frozen Jr, and Fractured Fairy Tales/Into the Woods Jr. This interest has also led her to choreograph Little Mermaid Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., and Willy Wonky Jr. at her middle school. She gets excited for every new experience and learning opportunity that comes her way and is ready to rise to any challenges that come her way. She would like to thank you for visiting her site and learning about everything she has to offer. Please follow me to keep up with my journey.
